Job Summary

Carter High School seeks to appoint a dynamic, dedicated and suitably qualified Educator to teach Life Orientation across Grades 8–12.

Key Responsibilities

• • Teach Life Orientation, to learners across relevant grades (Grades 8–12)
  • Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with the CAPS curriculum
  • Foster an inclusive, respectful, and values-based classroom environment
  • Manage classroom discipline and learner engagement effectively
  • Monitor and support learner progress through assessments and feedback
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and extracurricular activities
  • Ability to teach Geography (FET) will be a distinct advantage

Required Skills & Qualification

• • Relevant teaching qualification (B.Ed. or PGCE)
  • SACE registration (proof required)
  • All qualifications must be current and valid
  • A minimum of 3 years teaching experience in LO (Grade 8 to 12)
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to the school’s values and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

4. A valid police clearance certificate.
5. Proof of registration with SACE
